Did you vote for Samus?
I tied it up, and if you just decided she should be ahead by one, she should be ahead...

Hambone wrote:I'll give the edge to Boba Fett, simply because he has a jet pack.

Samus is super agile, and able to leap out of the way of stuff. Also, She could just blast the jet pack and it blows up!

Funnykay wrote:Boba Fett because...it's Boba Fett. No one messes with the Fett Man.

Seriously, how man y men are as feared as him throughout the galaxy?

You can say the exact same thing with Samus and the Space Pirates

She's the person you call in when no one else can complete the mission
That's why she gets paid the big bucks

Thrawn wrote:Boba Fett has the Slave 1 on remote. He could easily call it in to even the odds against Samus if he felt it was necessary. He has done this on multiple occasions.

And then Samus could call HER ship in, thus giving her the edge once again (though I don't think either champions are allowed to use their ships)

@Thrawn: I've read some of the EU. I honestly can't remember if Boba Fett was in any of it. Still, I've been hanging out with nerds, playing video games, and talking to people on message boards long enough to have a solid sense of his capabilities. I get it, he's an unstoppable badass. But then again so is Samus. I put their innate skill sets at even levels. The difference is that Samus has more devastating technology at her disposal. Her powers get insane by the end of the games. She can do shit like shoot through walls, shoot fusion beams, fire clusters of guided missiles, swim through lava, and jump to any height as long as there isn't a ceiling to stop her from jumping higher.

I voted for her several hours before, putting her within one. Still need someone to come along and break the tie...

I think we've made enough arguments for Samus for the intelligent people that frequent this board ti make the correct choice :)

A tinge simplified (example... it's more of somersaulting continuously in the air then jumping) but the point is well made

Surviving a confrontation with Vader is a pretty big deal.

How exactly did he do it? How did he avoid getting choked?

If I remember correctly, he was able to fire a couple blaster rounds at Vader, distracting him enough to loosen his grip. (Admittedly, I kinda thought it was bullsh--, because no one gets the better of Vader.) The funny thing is, they were both fighting over a severed head in a box, that kinda looked like Medusa!

My reasoning that Fett would win is this: if Samus is true to form, she'll beam down to the Chinese theatre without any of her good weapons, and then will have to spend the first hour or so roaming around the theater looking for the stupid morph ball upgrade. While she's backtracking and walking into dead ends (because she forgot to plop down an additional $30 for the player guide) Fett sneaks up on her and nukes her with his missile launching rocket pack!

And she takes the lead. Poor Boba will probably have to be buried next to his headless "father".

That's funny. :P

However, we are dealing with a fully equipped Samus... so Boba's toast (and if she uses the Plasma Beam, he's literally toast  )

Fett has one saving grace in all this. An epic song.

If both competitors are fully armed/equipped and are at 100%, I have to give the win to Samus. With her entire arsenal and superior tech [plus her amazing agility], Samus brings waaay more to the table than the Fett.

Fett's tech is not too shabby either.

Fett also has another advantage, he's a master strategist. He's not going to go into a situation blindly. Read most of his EU stories.

A theatre? Yeah Samus using her nuclear weapons will do lots of good there. It's a small closed off area....something Fett could use to his advantage.

Her weapons arent nuclear. They're merely explosive. I think the theatere will be demolished but that could happen due to either fighter

I didn't mean nuclear literially, I was just using it as a measurement of her firepower, which people have been using as en example of an advantage she might have.

Most of her weapons which people say she'd kill Fett with, would bring down the whole theatre, herself included. Firepower will have to be restrained in this battle...
