Oh, I disagree. The music was one of the highlights of the movie, to me. I love the Elfman music, but was only able to appreciate it when I got the score. I think the new theme is spectacular. Chills.
Here you go. Skip to the six minute mark.

Also, guy in shadows is not Osborn. Directly from the Lizard's mouth.

Capone: We were debating whether it was a prison or a mental institute.

RI: It's not a zoo. [laughs] I kept seeing it as maybe a mixture of both. Then a representative from OsCorp appears miraculously in the room. How he gets in there and how he leaves, we don’t know. Maybe we will find out. But it’s not Norman Osborn.

Capone: It’s not? You can say that?

RI: Yeah. But it is someone who is in the employ of Norman Osborn without question.

Capone: Someone we're familiar with, who we don’t know is employed by Osborn?

RI: Yeah.

Capone: Okay, interesting.

RI: Who knows? Maybe he will be the next bad guy; we’ll see.

I like this guy's review. He sums up most of my feelings about the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Me7VTz3wE. For the record, we both loved it. :)

Jeremy Jahn's is awesome. That review gives me a little more hope, 90% of the time I tend to agree with him. I'm seeing this tomorrow and I'm really quite excited.

Just got back from movie 5 minutes ago. Great! Though, I have a few complants. I dislike Uncle Ben's death. Peter didn't mention anything about Ben's death motivating to be Spidey, not even a "With great power comes great responsibility." Also dislike the catching of Ben's killer. There was no big reveal that Peter let go Ben's killer, Pete just cries on Ben's body and searches for a guy with a black star tattoo. Anyway, I thought that the movie doesn't really pick up until after Pete catches Ben's killer. Yeah, therer were a few good moments before Ben's death, but the movie as a whole gets much better after Ben's death. Also liked how Pete tells Gwen "the secret." There was no "Gwen, I'm SPIDER-MAN! Oh, Peter, I never dreamt! I love Spider-Man but not you, now I like you!". Pete just webbed her in. Liked Curt Conners portrayal, new costume (looked a lot better on screen than in photos!), Emma Stone was great, so was Dennis Leary, and I didn't mind Andrew Garfield's...well...oddness as Peter. I do think he overdid it a bit, but overall it wasn't very bothersome. Liked Garfield as Spidey, liked having Spidey very skinny. I thought I was going to hate the Lizard's face, but I actually liked the face design and *nervous cough* really enjoyed the Lizard and thought he was pretty menacing. I absolutely LOVE the movie after Ben' killer's capture and enjoyed the heck out of it. As to the previous trilogy, this movie was better definitely than 3, maybe better than 1, not sure about 2. Grade: A-

I've been against this movie since day 1 and I have never been more happier to be more wrong. That was on the same level as Avengers for me, completely blown away and taken by surprise. Incredible movie, was crying at least twice during the film. Go see this movie with an open mind. Absolutely fantastic.

Here's where I feel silly....did Uncle Ben's killer actually get caught?

I wasn't sure either. I just assumed that he did get caught, but it looks like I was wrong. I'm now kinda annoyed. That's a pretty big plot hole to leave hanging.

It might've been done on purpose.

I don't think they forgot it. Saw it again(3rd time, bitches!) and they showed the Wanted poster at least once after he becomes Spider-Man. Maybe Peter dropped the search after he had that "personal vendetta" conversation with Captain Stacy.

I went to see the movie last night. Only six people at the 9:30 show so I'm not sure how much staying power it will have. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised because my expectations had gotten very low from a lot of the early info/footage. I was a solid Spider-Man movie. To me it was probably better than S3 but still not as good as S1 and 2.

Emma stone really gave more life and humor to Gwen than she ever had in the comics. It again made me regret that she was not cast as MJ. Having him do the whole I can't be with you thing at the end was way to similar to how Spider-Man 1 ended.

The absence of JJJ and the Bugle staff felt odd. They could have at least had a cameo.

The action was great and I loved how Spidey used his powers in this one. The 3D was well done and luckily the first person stuff was used sparingly. They really made you feel like web slinging could be difficult. They also showed how Spidey uses science to beat bad guys.

Garfield did a good job but was a little to awkward in an off putting way at times. I thought his Spider-Man was very solid. They had him be way too careless with his identity though. Almost every major character (possibly even May) knew who he was by the end.

Captain Stacey could have used more development to make his death have more impact. Also, his priorities were screwed up to put so much effort into chasing down Spidey when a giant lizard is rampaging through the city.

Weird that the search for Ben's killer was just forgotten. It will be hard to have a satisfying capture in the next movie. I didn't feel Connors was like able enough. Maybe if they had his family in there it would have worked better. In this day and age of prosthetics him being that impacted by his arm being gone rang hollow. Maybe they could have had something where he had trouble playing sports with his son or something. I wish they had shown more of the cops that got lizardfied. Did they go nuts and attack people?

Still no explanation for how Spidey got into the car before the car thief. Also, how did Connors get a dry blanket when he woke up naked in the sewer for the first time?

Anyone else getting the impression that Peter's parents are alive.

I decided to see it.

I liked it but it's too much like the first Spider-Man movie in places.

Garfield did a good job as Spider-Man but his Peter isn't as likeable as Toby's.
Emma Stone was great as Gwen. She's a much better leading actress then Kirsten Dunst.
Martin Sheen was a great Uncle Ben.
Sally Field on the other hand was the wrong actresss to play Aunt May.

The Lizard wasn't really that good of a villain.

This movie's better then Spider-Man 3, but it's not as good as the first two.

$342 m WW total, $140 m 6 day domestic run. Very very strong for a reboot ( Batman Begins made $370 m WW in its entire run, X-Men FC $350 m ww). Again $850 m WW in play. Solid WOM ( 84% with fixter, A- on cinemascore).

Oh, I loved that. Most of us have read the early comics, and a lot of us hated Aunt May the clueless, heart attack-y crazy lady. The fact that it wasn't made explicit with a big dramatic "You're Spider-Man!" was neat, too.
