Spideydude sends me the direct links before the issue and the article go up so I can include them when I post the issue, and he schedules the articles to go up a bit later. Last issue it went up on spideydude.com only about an hour after the issue went up. Not sure why it's still not there this time. I sent a PM to Spideydude to ask about it. I'll update this thread when it's up. Sorry about that!

If I recall correctly (never actually read the infamous Clone Saga - too many crossovers for me to keep up), it turned that the Gwen Stacy clone was actually a woman redesigned to look like Gwen and share her memories, correct? Interesting....

Heh, that is one convoluted story. First they revealed that the Jackal didn't actually create clones, he genetically altered regular people to become the people he was "cloning." So at the time, they were saying the Gwen Stacy clone was a real woman who was not Gwen Stacy. Then later, when the 90s Clone Saga happened, they had to go back on that and say they actually were clones, and the whole story about them being genetically altered people was a trick by the High Evolutionary. And please - don't try to make any sense out of that. There's none to be had. The short answer is - the Gwen Stacy clone was just that, a clone of Gwen Stacy and nothing more.

But to clarify, Sarah Stacy has nothing to do with the Gwen clone. She's the daughter of Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn, twin sister of Gabe Stacy and half-sister of Harry Osborn.

Hey we'll be covering that soon on Clone Saga Chronicles. (In prep for an interview with the writer of the original Clone Saga and the Convoluted 'Resolution' that was done years later by him.

Great Issue Kev, I really enjoyed it. If I had to give the issue a rating, it would be a 4 out 5. why a 4 out of 5? Well, I'll give you guys three guesses to the one thing that really irk me in this issue, and the first two don't count.

If you guessed Black Cat Costume change, you win the spiderman cupie doll!

First, allow me to say the joke that popped into my head after reading this issue, and I mean this joke only in an attemped to be funny and not to be mean or disrespectfull. "Well after recieving the glorious news about the trade that DC and Marvel made. Let me be the first from the Spiderman Crawlspace to welcome Catwomen to the Spideyverse. Oh wait! That Black Cat!"

All joking aside, let me explain why I don't like the costume which by the way, I do understand that our difference here are completely on our interpertation of the character and that we will probaly just have to agree to disagree. I really hate it when a character costume is change just because the writer or artist felt that the design was too sexy. in the same instance, I also hate it when a costume is changed to make a character more sexy which is why I hate the 90's Black Cat costume that has the v down the middle. I your case, I believe that your assuptsion that her cleavage is nothing but cheesecake and that they would be popping out all the time is too realistic of a view that it take away some of the believeability of the tale. Sometimes, being too realistic can take the fun and fantasty out of the tale.

Also, why did she make the change for the costume? We are just thrown into a big fight with Black Cat in a new costume with no explaination why. What was Felicia reason for changeing the costume in story?

More so, the coustume seems to generic to me. other then the silver gloves and boots with the fur and the mask, there was really nothing about this costume that different her from any other genirc thief. The cleavege, while can be interpeted as cheesecake, is an icon part of her character just like the hole in Power Girl's costume. Throw the whip in there and it just felt like a catwomen clone.

As I said before, the cleaveage part of her costume is an Iconic part of who Black Cat is as a person. Felicia Hardy is a strong independent Female character who is poud of who she is in both body and mind and love to showcase that. It what define her character and make her unique. to take that away becuase someone feel it too cheesecake is to take away a very important part of her character and part of what makes Felicia so special. Like I said before, this is all about how we interpet the character and we will just have to agree to disagree.

Other then that, I love the inclusion of Toxic and I loved the splash page of the rouges gallery fighting the spiderman clones. Great Job Kev.

Great punch up issue! Excellent job with the description of the panels and the action taking place.

Best quote:

SPIDER-MAN:
Geez, you really wait for the entrance, don’t ya, Toxin?
TOXIN:
Hey, don’t look at me. This is the costume you choose to stand out from the rest? Couldn’t you have picked something easier to spot in a crowd? Maybe a nice neon-green-on-black?
SPIDER-MAN:
Whoa now. Just because I’m fighting for my life doesn’t mean I’m gonna sacrifice my Spidey-Fashion-Sense!

Nice jab at that horrible Spider-Lantern costume.

I like the interaction between MJ and Harry. Her threatening to kill Harry herself if he hurt Peter again sent chills down my spine. The banter between Spidey and Black Cat had that familiar feel to it that the two have always shared. I think you did a fantastic job with Toxin. I actually miss that particular symbiote.

And the Cosmic Cube?!? Holy Stan Lee! How did Norman get his hands on that! That has so much potential!

Okay First off I enjoyed the issue fully.

From BD's Cameo to the Carlie's Luke Skywalker moment.

Still I have a few Topics concerning the issue...

1. Is Toxin still with his family given his opening in the issue ?

2. Sad to see Carlie not fully unmasked Peter, but I do hope she get her chance someday to know fully.

3. I must say it would have been worth it to see some of Spider-man foes reactions to this fight, as just knowing they're fighting clones of their greatest foe. But seeing how they're doing it would be worth a great moment.

4. Since you mention the Thunderbolts and the Avengers in this issue I have to wonder when they would actually cross paths with Spider-man again after this whole Clone Crisis is over. Givien Spider-man/Peter Parker's relationship with the former THunderbolt leader" Noman Osborn, and Spidey deal with Tony Stark on the whole SHRA thing. I would hoping to know if you were to catch up on these plot points in the future ?

5. Also I did enjoy Toxin's moments within this issue as it seems like a good guy who truly a rookie when you think about it.

6. As for the whole Harry and MJ thing, one has to agree with her to show at least both her and Peter are doubting Harry's claims of reform.

7. Plus the Cliffhanger to this chapter is one I didn't see coming, but could understood given Norman and his Dark Avengers vs Hank Pym and his Mighty Avengers against the Absorbing Man (Cosmic Cube powered), Still since that hasn't happen yet, I wonder how Norman aquired that piece of power and does Peter truly know how to use it ?

Please do keep up the great work on such a wonderful series like this one. ;D

Dude fucking terrific job!

You blended comedy, seriousness, action in a well mixed brew.

I see your working on your weaknesses, which was mainly just action but you fixed it GOOD JOB.

Now why won't Marvel let us do panel by panel?

Definitely the most action packed and funny issue yet. The cover looked great! I think Bdog's colors really made it pop. I like the Black Cat's new costume but wish her collar was more apparent on the cover. With all the action, I found myself wishing there was more art to see it. Especially the super teams against the clone army and the super villain splash page. Maybe some of our resident artists will step up and make that a reality... I want a Mr. Clean mini!!!!

I like Brad's return performance. Is he going to be a regular every time there is a big event?
I thought his thoughts on Norman being the Green Goblin seemed kind of tacked on and pointless. That space could have been used for more important character development.

I was disappointed that Carlie didn't find out who was under the mask. Her becoming a bad ass was fun. Especially with her coming to the rescue of Flash and flipping the convention of damsel in distress on it's head. Their flirting was cute but maybe a little too clever to be realistic.

Making the clones mindless and therefore ok to kill does seem like a bit of an easy out. I feel like they are so easy to kill, they might as well be clones of any random dude. This is the biggest flaw in the story so far. Even with millions of them running around and Spidey mostly powerless I didn't feel the heroes were in any real danger. Maybe if you had some serious injuries. In your tease for next issue it looks like this might just change, so I'll give you the benifit of the doubt.

The MJ and Harry scenes was where the real tension came in. I was scared that he might do something horrible to her at any minute. At the same time, it was great that MJ remained skeptical and kept her distance.

I like the ring tone gags.

Spidey threatening to make a deal with the next entity was hilarious because I imideiatley thought of OMD and wondered if it was intientional. Then I saw your next line and knew it was.

You really showed why Toxin is an interesting spin on the symbiote idea. I was worried with you bringing him into such a busy story but by including his inner monologue you showed his unique perspective of a human raising an unruly alien. I like how he refers to brain eating and Venom as gramps [smilie=venom.gif] The face licking was funny. The interplay you have between them is great and I look forward to more of it.

I felt like the jab at the neon costume was very timely.

Not sure what's going to happen with the cosmic cube but I look forward to it. Another fun read. Keep it up. Only one more issue in the arc? I thought there were two :( What comes next?

I enjoyed this a lot! My two favorite bits that made me laugh ...

BLACK CAT:
Aw, well he is the prettiest symbiote I’ve ever met.
TOXIN THOUGHT:
Lick her! Lick her face right now!

Taking a shot at that Spider-Tron costume was genius. The Mister Clean appearance was also damn funny.

I never thought I would like Toxin, but your version of him is just funny. I generally don't like symbiotes, but I'll stomach him okay if you write him this well for the rest of the arc. :D
