Thank you, thank you, thank you everybody! You guys are fantastic, I'm so grateful that you've stuck with me through all the delays and your words are really gracious. Sometimes too gracious, but it's still so nice to hear!

For the moment it's Bucky, that was him on the answering machine. If I bring someone into Crawl Space and their continuity is off from where it is in the MU (which, yes, will definitely happen, it's the nature of this kind of beast) I will make sure to make a note of it for you.

Very solid, very well written issue Kev. My one and only thing was that I'm surprised the main plot of Peter and Simon pretty much only showed up at the beginning and the end. However, by the end I got why you did it, as it was a kick-ass ending that left me wanting to see the next issue all the more. It's not so much a gripe as it is an observation.

Must be said that this issue went by pretty quickly for me in that I didn't want it to end. Its Spidey action time next ish! [smilie=spidey_thumbs.gif]

I dare say this was the best issue yet. I'd have to go back and reread to be sure but it was great. I love how you balanced between the story lines. It really flowed especially using MJ calling Carlie leading to her little romance with Flash. I think the Goblin fight was your best action scene yet. Very good mix of darkness and humor. The Black Spider's motivation and much of his logic actually makes sense. Why is he not going to get the Spider powers?

Man, you guys are fantastic! So nice to hear folks are enjoying it so much. I was worried such a long wait would build up too much anticipation and lead to a let down, so this is all really great to hear! It's amazing as an amateur writer to have the best fans in the world!

Well, the first part of the plan happened, which was the siphoning off of Peter's blood. But Simon asked the man in black at the beginning when the "transfusion" would be ready. The idea being he was going to take a complete transfusion of Peter's blood, assuming that would give him the powers. But now Peter's awake and about to beat the snot out of him, so it looks like he's going to have problems getting that transfusion.

Why didn't they transfuse the blood while it was draining from Peter? Did Peter wake up as an accident or did the other guy do it intentionally? When do we find out who he is?

Well, since the idea was to take all his blood, it was a more complicated procedure of taking and replacing. The same would then be done with Simon, replacing his blood with Peter's. This isn't exactly a real medical procedure, but to my mind there's too much going on with each person to try to do both simultaneously.

Or, at least, that's what that the man told Simon. You'll notice Simon seems to have bought some things about this procedure that aren't exactly true.

Did Peter wake up as an accident or did the other guy do it intentionally?

The man woke him up when he removed all the wires from his head.

When do we find out who he is?

Probably not as soon as you'd like, but you should know by the end of year one (I say "year" in reference to twelve issues and an annual, not an actual calender year). Some folks might remember me saying in last issue's discussion thread that it would be revealed in #8, but I don't think that's going to happen. He's important to a later story (and possibly another one going on right now) and I feel like it would cheapen his introduction to blow the reveal next issue just because I feel like I've had too many "mystery characters" already.

Thanks for answering my questions. [smilie=spidey_dude.gif] Why did Simon want Peter to feel guilt while was unconscious?

Very happy to do so. It's actually kind of nice to have specific questions to address so it doesn't get boring for people to see me just keep popping in here saying thank you

Why did Simon want Peter to feel guilt while was unconscious?

Well, as Simon said, all of the terrible things Peter was feeling were a result of being Spider-Man. Simon wanted Peter to be experiencing his worst moments to basically help his own case that Peter would be better off without Spider-Man, and never should have been in the first place. (This would have been gone into in a lot more detail had his plan actually worked.)

Simon's plans were so well thought out and went smooth until the end. I guess he trusted the wrong guy. He seemed to get a little more crazy with all the ranting to an unconscious Peter.

Yep, that's what happens when a guy who's relied on reading facial expressions his whole life works with somebody who keeps his face completely covered.

He seemed to get a little more crazy with all the ranting to an unconscious Peter.

Oh definitely, I wanted to show you that this is not a stable man. After spending most of his life forming a bond with someone through photos and videos, he's really started living in his own little world.

I'm excited about Peter kicking some ass but I'm assuming that Simon has had some martial arts/ assassin training....
