Hey Kevin,

In case you're interested, I have a small idea of this series tying into the recent Secret Invasion event...

It's just an idea from the back of mind.

Hey everybody, my power is back! I was able to get a few pages of #5 scribbled out at my brother's house over the weekend, too, so it looks like I'm going to be ok to hit the target date I had set for myself - Feb. 8. Exactly one month after #4. If that works out, the 8th of every month will likely be the new regular target date. And that's just one week from now folks!

I'll let you slide on this new schedule but you'd better not have anymore "natural disasters" etc. to delay my fix... [smilie=spidey_not_kidding.gif]

Hey, we're talking exactly a month after the last one even with a natural disaster. What's to let slide? :P

Excellent Work on this one Kev. The Bugle was written to a tee and the switching between Harry & Peter didn't seemed forced. A-.

P.S. Agent DeMatteiss: Nice!

All I have to say is "Bum Bum Buuuuuuuuum!"

Very good issue! I like how you're bringing some real Spidey-people into the mix: first the lawyer, now Agent DeMatteis.

I am sort of conflicted about Faceless Man's reaction to Jonah's antagonism. On the one hand, I could definitely see him breaking a little on that one because he is so desperate to know who he is. On the other hand, I feel like he should be able to maintain some sort of disturbed-calm. But, on the other other hand, it seems fitting that only The Black Spider has a sick sense of calm the entire time...you're making me invest time in trying to understand the characters, which is a good thing!

Haha, I think the only question I would ask is, "Were Betty, Robbie, and Jonah truly the only people in the Daily Bugle?"

This issue ended on a soprano-high note!

Thanks! I figure if I've gotta name a new character I may as well throw in an homage to one of the greats that's contributed to the saga over the years.

I like that you have three hands for the purpose of this example

They were really just the only ones worth mentioning. There were some red shirts huddled around with them, but the rest of the building got cleared out. Basically, The Faceless Man needed to have a few people there for Spidey to save and think he was winning, but few enough so Spidey could evacuate them in time. He had no intentions of killing anyone.

Haha, thanks!

I'm continuing my catch up reading. It feels like this issue has been on my nightstand for months and I'm just now getting to it. Trust me, my nightstand is packed.

Again, another A- issue Kev.

Pros: Your Spider-Humor is sport on, however the Jameson stuff was classic. I loved the "I'm working my ass off here" line. I also laughed out loud when Harry said, "Going to a nut house while trying to kill a second member of my family is a level of irony I was hoping to avoid… ". That was the best line in the whole script.

I enjoyed agent DeMataeis, I always get a kick out of those types of things. I also liked the reveal of the faceless man.

I also loved the different names of the Spiders and how they could be a rock group.

Cons: The only quip I have is when the black spider tells Spidey all his friends are about to die. I didn't think the "here I come to save the day" worked. Spidey is sarastic and funny in a fight, but if his loved ones are in trouble he'd dash out of there ASAP.

Overall, they should put your ass on a Spider-Book!
