JR Fettingers Marvel:I'd hire Spideydude to be me at conventions, with his cowboy hat, a cigar sticking out of his mouth, and a beer in his hand because he would certainly look a lot "cooler" and "more relatable" to the fanbase that a short, gray haired middle aged man.

A hand drawn recreation of the 90's Spider-Man logo, which will be incorporated into a piece of art based on events from issue 7 that I'm (still) working on.

Image

I also drew one of those "Marvel Comics Corner logo thingies," (that box in the upper left corner where the issue number and publishing date is kept, what the heck is that called???)
I decided not to use it on the finished art, since it has the Marvel Company corporate logo emblazoned on it, and have no idea if "the suits" would get annoyed at a piece of fan art using it, even if it is just for fun. But if your curious, you can see it here on my deviant art page.

I should have the actual art piece up in a few days. (I scrapped my original version and redrew it, the first version wasn't dynamic enough.)

My loving tribute to Marvel comic covers of the 90's; granted there was no Crawlspace in those days but "What if.."

Image

Now technically if it were the ninties the Black Spider would be wearing at least 10 ammo belts, and his gun should be ALOT bigger (I didn't want to completely cover up the Grey Goblin! [smilie=greengoblin.gif] )

Remember that 4 or so lines of dialogue with MJ and Wolverine? Special Guest Star. (And yes, I have a 1990's "Fantastic Four" comic that does this exact same thing with the Punisher. :P )

I took the small liberty of adding a small cloak to the Goblin King, as impractical as capes are in real life, for artistic purposes they are very useful for creating a feeling of flight. I hope Mr. Larson does not take offense.

Any constructive criticism is welcome, as I'm considering including it in my portfolio as an example of 3-point perspective.

Dude that is sweet! The characters look amazing but the city scape is even more impressive. You threw me off for a second with the Wolverine part and then I remembered his brief telephonic cameo.
