Sometimes I accidentally click on certain threads that I do not mean to visit...perhaps that is the case here??? I don't know. I think, like Chris said, people are generally going to go for the first issue more than subsequent issues, which is no fault of yours. I always seem to be drawn to #1's even though I wouldn't never read that particular comic...for ex. Wonder Woman...FAIL!

Well, I've been banned by CBR (no surprise, since I'd ran out of paitence with their indulging in the behaviour of reckless, adolescent users), so I can't plug the site or give reviews there anymore, but Mets will probably keep it alive
Image

The people claiming it is stale only show the lack of imagination they have, as the character is returned once again to 20 years old...wow, we never seen that before. Keeping the character relevant? Please. Maybe it is time to create new Marvel Heroes, instead of destroying and retelling well-worn old stories.

Well guys, I feel like I've gone about as far as I can go with promotion right now. I've posted on all the message boards I know, I've sent emails to all the comic news sites (with not even one response, not surprising), and I've even talked to a few creators with varying levels of success. The numbers on this issue aren't bad so far considering it's been up less than a week, but I'm disappointed with the total lack of chatter on other boards. Heck, the newsarama guys haven't made a peep since #2.

So if anybody has any ideas on expanding the pimpage I'd love to hear them.

What about Youtube?

I know there are a few commentators on youtube who have a decent sized subscription rate and view count, all of the ones I ever saw hate OMD/BND. I can try to refind them if I didn't subscribe to them on my account.

Also considering how much better the series got as it went along, I think it could be helpful to let people know that even if they didn't like the first issue...they won't really know what this is all about until they get to at least issue 3.

I am not a YouTube officianado, so I didn't really know anything about that. If you wanted to look the guys up and let 'em now about Crawl Space, I certainly wouldn't stop you!

Well, spiderfan.org has finally run a letter I wrote them about Crawl Space back in (I think) December. Interesting timing, but I certainly appreciate the plug.

Here's the letters page (it's at the top): http://www.spiderfan.org/letters/editor/2009/0518.html

And this is what they commented after the letter:

"We don't normally get involved with Fan Fiction, but this looks substantial enough to merit a mention."

Thanks SpiderFan!

Well, it looks like Spider-Man: Crawl Space is officially a banned book as far as marvel.com is concerned. I posted in the thread over there last night (a seven page thread that's existed for several months and attracted many new readers) just to say that a new issue was finally up, what the title was, and provide the link. Evidently that was extremely objectionable by marvel.com standards. Was the thread locked? No. Was my post deleted? No. Was I contacted via PM? No. The thread is simply gone. All seven pages just no longer exist. I, for one, will never be visiting the marvel.com message boards again, and I'm glad we've been able to provide several of their members with a new home to escape that kind of fascist tyranny. Un-be-lievable.

ummm.that could be my fault. I am the most watch list there and posted on that thread. Nothing insulting or anything. Hell, it was two sentence post saying this place is great.

Well I don't think it had anything to do with you, and even if it did it's not your fault for being persecuted and I appreciate you replying to the thread.

But it looks like it was probably just an accident. Evidently this Dragonwulf person decided it needed to be moved to the Fan Fiction forum and hit "delete" instead of "move." I'm still pissed about it, but that would be a forgivable explanation.

YOu know, this DragonWolf person was a big dude over at Alvaro's boards. Never had a problem with the guy. But he looks to be a Nazi from what's been said over there. Jeez.
