My favorite one shots are Peter Parker #20, Jenkins' first issue, PPSM #37, where Spidey and the Human Torch fight the Vulture during a bad snowstorm,Spec Spidey volume 2 #14,(leaving the Jenkins' stuff now) ASM 589, featuring the return of the spot, ASM 574, the amazing Flash story and ASM 617, the Rhino's redemption.

First ASM arc I ever read was Coming Home, when I was 8. First ASM arc as a dedicated reader was Kraven's First Hunt, but I never finished it, so I'll go with New Ways to Die.

Josh, if you still have any badges from past Comic Cons, the Beatle Cruises or anywhere where you were given an id badge to wear, you could mock it up as a Daily Bugle staff badge that Betty would wear prominently.

Though, not to completely over think it (I mean this is just to cosplay not a real life deal), would secretarial and administrative (accounting, legal, etc) staffs of a paper be issued press IDs? Eh, maybe if they worked in the offices...

Yeah...I'm overthinking

Over the past month or so Mark Waids done an excellent job showing comic fandom a side of himself I don't think most of us new existed. Before this I would have thought Mark was one of the classier writers in comics but now after all this shit he's been saying first on JMS blog and now apparently slamming crawslpace and the fans here over on CBR I kinda feel like not wanting to read anything by him ever again.

On more positive notes some good choices for favorite issues amongst the group Id probably pick either spider-man no more or coming home as my favorite single issues.

Really? From what I remember from podcasts and stuff,Waid's always been a bit confrontational. Don't quote me on that, I'm not absolutely sure.

I'm sorry if I asked too personal a question, Mr. Douglas. It's just that I never thought I would hear you say that you were considering dropping Amazing Spider-man, and I couldn't help but wonder what would happen to this place without you headlining it.

Helen Mirren as Aunt May? Yes. I approve. I prefer May when she has the potential to be an utter badass, like taking out the Chameleon with spiked cookies.

Donavan--speaking of Virgil, have you read Teen Titans #6? Virgil has a pretty big role in that, Lobdell wrote him REALLY well, and has said that he'll become part of the team shortly after the whole "The Culling" thing that him, DeFalco and Mackie are doing in May.

I completely disagree about Bane being useless--Gail Simone wrote him EXTREMELY well in Secret Six.

I didn't think Widening Gyre was NEARLY as bad as others have said and there was some interesting ideas in there, but it had some weird moments.

First story-arc for me was I think either Spider-Man: Blue or the first arc of JMS's run.

On more reconizable characters Bertone could dress up as: two words--Black Cat.

I actually had a similar attempt for a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the 90s Spider-Man cartoon...hoo-boy. That didn't age well.

Good episode. :)

I did, and while it was cool seeing Virg and Tim interact, Lobdell had him be a complete scientific genius on the level of Tony Stark. That kind of sucked in how it was really out of nowhere. I mean Virgil has always been smart, but it's been more of a Lisa Simpson level where he's just a brainy kid. He was never a super genius. That rang hollow and lazy to me. But I do like the idea of Static on the Titans, and the idea of him and Tim bouncing off of each other. I don't think Tim was on the team when Virgil was before FLashpoint, and they had a freindship in the DCAU so it'll be fun to see.

Well, I think when you have a character who's entire power-set involves energy like that, they should at least have some pretty strong knowledge of science and physics. As for being able to build stuff--didn't he build his own glider thing during the Milestone era? One could fix that continuity thing easily enough by saying that due to where he lived before, he never had the opportunity or the resources to do things like create a robo-raptor in his spare time.
