I'm resisiting the urge to start calling you a heretic and unclean. :)

Though if you hated Ultron Unlimited, that truly proves you have no soul. :D

Seriously, Busiek was rehashing stuff.

Angry Triathlon? Rehash of the angry Falcon joining the team.

Carol's alcoholism? Yeah it'd been done before with Tony.

I remember at the time I used to have an even much longer list cause I was re-reading the Stern and Michelinie stories and kept coming up with "Oh my God he just took that and repackaged it" moments when comparing them to the Busiek stories.

I'm going to argue "rehashed" and instead say he used some of the same themes but with twists.

So he took someone else's ideas and changed them. That's not original. That's a rehash.

more kingpin and families

Postby Keny from Prague » Sat Jan 05, 2008 3:06 am

Just to add one to the Kingpin topic (although i know the thread has left that behind, im a bit slow) I remember an issue of spiderman or daredevil, cant remember which (no access to my old comics), where kingpin was telling one of his minions how to deal with an uncooperative businessman. he asked "does mr so-and-so have any children?" minion replies"yes a nine-year-old son" kingpin "see to it that his son temporarilly loses the use of his legs" minion "temporary" kingpin "for the time being."

my point is, i think the kingpin has no qualms about going after families.
