What's your beef with Madam Web?

So I'm re-reading some of your old articles and noticed you hate Madam Web. Why the hate?

The saddest part of this is that I could once write a Year in Review quickly instead of turning it into an encyclopedia.

As far as Madam Web - if Spidey needed an old woman to talk to - why not just tell May the secret? Plus, the whole idea of Spidey coming to an aging psychic for help - that's what Dionne Warwick and her Psychic Friends Hotline is for. I just thought it was a dumb idea "Madam Web, I can't figure this out - could you look inside your crystal ball? "

I have mixed feelings about her prescene on the animated series. For one, she acts as Spidey's "Obi Wan Kenobi" which I don't think is something Spidey should really have....

BUT

she did have some funny scenes and I always loved Pete's reactions when she would show up, like "Oh no purple smoke! GOD DANG MADAME WEB!"

I agree with JR, I never cared for her. For one thing, she came off like a stuck-up *****. Second, she's a character I think is a wee bit too mystical to be in Spider-Man.

But Joan Lee voicing her in the cartoon was great.

I can tolerate her in comics far more than I do in the 90s cartoon
She still is a horrible character I wish never was created, though I do enjoy Amazing Spider-Man 216 a lot
From Scimitar to Merciless, and I'm barely violent :p
BATMAN is an awesome movie

Are movies like, a new religion or something? Someone who hates and pokes fun at a popular movie is considered blasphemous or a wrong doer? Made a mistake that is not supposed to happen? Seriously?

I like Madam Web. After all everyone needs a spiritual guide sometime.
