Re: Finding Gwen Stacy part 10??

I read up to part 9 and found this a great read. Was it canceled, or will there be a part 10 and beyond in the future? Or is the story continued on another site? Hello, First off I'm honored that you joined the MB to post this ! Hope you stick around and have great years here. The FINDING GWEN seri...

Re: Podcast # 405-Live Callers Show What Did You think?

I'm no prude, but Josh seemed to be swearing a lot more this time than when he was a regular on the podcast. It was all in good fun but it felt like "Wow, Bertone has turned into Andrew Dice Clay." (I can't think of a modern stand-up that is known for swearing a lot) Fair enough. I was a bit punchy.

I just got PMed about this on FB and asked to clarify.

I didn't write that page.

Re: A Thank You to the Gang.

I appreciate that, WebbedSentry. I don't want to linger too much on the subject--mainly because I like how Brad handled it on the podcast and nothing more needs to be said--but I wouldn't feel right not acknowledging your thoughtful statement. Just like on reruns of the podcast, Chris has vocalized...

He had memories of raising a three year old son. This was only touched upon once.

Re: What should be Peter's age Range?

I remember in the booklet for the PS1/Dreamcast game in 2000 his age was stated to be 25. Not that that would count, but interesting enough. You can track his age in the Stan Lee era. For grins, I've always counted his age during the Ditko run by every seven issues. If you go in with the idea that ...

Re: What should be Peter's age Range?

I like the idea of a college aged Spider-Man, but the ship has sailed in the comics and I think attempting to go back in the 616 would be problematic. He's in his late 20's at the least...with his 10 year high school reunion (and Felicia referencing that it's been 5 years since Spec 129) there is no...

Re: What was the last comic you read?

I've been reading some old Millie the Model and Patsy Walker comics. It amuses me that these are part of the Marvel Universe. Not exactly. If I remember correctly, the character and a vague interpretation of her history are Marvel canon, but the specifics aren't necessarily in-continuity. Yea but i...

Re: This constant renumbering is already getting confusing.

But if a reader goes back to look, how do they know which NEW AVENGERS issue 3 they're getting? And it's cool if fans want to believe they are starting from the beginning with a 50 year franchise by reading a 6 month old story, but that says more about how Marvel views it's audience than anything el...

Re: Do you need to read the book to have a valid opinin abou

However, I don't think it's completely out of line for people to BE offended by the idea of it. When I said "rape criers" I was referring to some EXTREME CASES. People who acted as if a real life person was going to be sexually assaulted and acted as if this was worse than anyone else going on in t...

It will never happen. Marvel won't put any money/energy into a show cancelled years ago while their animation department goes in another direction.

Re: Do you need to read the book to have a valid opinin abou

I see the "MJ rape" criers still. Those irk me. It's also a weak argument to me because a) Otto is a villain b) he's done far worse c) Mary Jane Watson isn't real. I echo Chris's comment...it depends upon your opinion and what you're doing with it. You can hear what's going on and say "Wow, that suc...
