There has been a big Venom Event announcement, too, about a revival of the early 90s “New Fantastic Four” concept with the current versions of those characters. But last time I tried to write up a news article for this site, I was superseded by George Berryman’s posting of a link to another site’s report.
According to Slott at NYCC, this is a story arc in ASM that deals with the culmination of Doc Ock’s “final” master plan.
Caselli art is always a good thing. And could this have Spidey leaving New York for some worldwide action?
I think this is just a storyarc and not an event. I don’t want it to be an event, because I along with everyone have event fatigue. But I’m welcome for some tentacle action after Spider Island.
BD, I thought Marvel staff hated your site. I guess that only applies when they’re not trying to hard sell something.
Im happy to see Doc Ock fuckin shit up
and Caselli on art is always nice
Don’t have an opinion until we learn more TBH.
Will Dock Ock return to a more classic look?
Maybe they’re gonna end the current continuity of the marvel universe and start all over from scratch.
Great… ANOTHER event comic.
Slow down.. concentrate on telling good stories…
“Ends of the earth,” eh??Could this refer to this being how far the good Doctor octopus will go to find a cure for his ravaged body? Or maybe how far he’s willing to travel to get away from Slott’s inept writing? Octavius is by far and away my favorite Spider-Man villain, ever. He should be treated with reverence, but with Slott at the helm, this does not bode well. Maybe I’m being overly pessimistic, but you only have to take a look at “Spider Island” to see why I’m already voicing my concerns.
