Iron Man Novels

IronMan: The Armor Trap by Greg Cox

This book really impressed me when it first came out. It was the second novel to come out of the Byron Preiss organization, and they were on a roll after the Spider-Man:Venom Factor hardcover. "The Armor Trap"had a great plot of Tony Stark getting kidnapped, and impressioned. He then has to use his technical experience with computers to escape his imprisonment from his jailer.Nope I'm not going to give away his id.
This harkens back to Iron Man's origin and him being imprisoned and forced to create technolgy. For those War Machine fans out there,Rhoddy has some great character development here. This read like a great mystery novel from Clancy. A truly great read for Iron Fans! I give a highly recomended 3 Spidey heads out of 4.

Iron Man: Operation A.I.M. by Greg Cox

Greg Cox is back and he brought a few friends for Iron Man to play with. Captain America,Black Panther, and War Machine team up to take down A.I.M. Now for those newbies to the Marvel Universe, A.I.M. stands for "Advanced Idea Mechanics". Wow and that was off the top of my head! Don't ask what S.H.I.E.L.D stands for!
The two main antagonists in this one are Baron Strucker and MODOK. Great villians! This was a pretty good book, as a follow up to the previous novel. The only reservation I have is that Iron Man didn't get more story develpment aimed,or A.I.M.E.D. at him. I thought he was buying for time with the other heroes. But otherwise Mr. Cox weaved an entertaining novel. 2 and 1/2 Spidey heads out of four on this one. Is there a third book in the works??? I hope so!
