Incredible Hulk Novel Reviews

What Savage Beast by Peter David

This is without a doubt the best novel Marvel and the Byron Preiss organization have ever put out. This novel took place over the course of a year and it was a real page turner. I hope David will write more of these,becasue they are outstanding. Anyway the story is about the Hulk and Betty facing their new lives and new id's in suberbia. It just seems as though they find security when the lost cousin of Major Talbot shows up. Mastero and the son of the Hulk plays a crutial part of the plot. Anyway I can't do it justice just go read this book. All 300 pages are worth it! Four out of Four Spidey Heads on this puppy!!

Abominations by Jason Henderson

I feel sorry for this guy having to follow up Peter David's great "What Savage Beast" novel. But Henderson did an all right job on this work of his. We have a great opening scene of a grape jelly truck hitting a car carrying Sean Morgan's son. When the two hit it painted a great image with the mess on the highway. The character of Sean Morgan from the organization S.A.F.E. recieved more character development than our dear old Hulkie. Still the novel lived up to it's title and the Abomination did show up and was a great villan as always. I'm a sucker for a great Hulk and Abomination fight anyday. In this book we had the sewer as a setting in one scene. Also the airplane bomb was great! So, for a fair job on this book I would give him two and a half Spidey heads.
